RICE COOKER ADVERT

This was a complex animation combining live footage with 3D and 2D animation to show the features of a rice cooker. Photographs were taken of the mini rice cooker to create a realistic 3D model. Photorealistic texture and shaders were then applied.

The live footage was edited and then 3D tracked. The tracking was challenging because there were no markers. Once the model of the mini cooker was superimposed onto the live footage, advance lighting and compositing was used to seamlessly integrate the two.

Once the 3D model has been anchored to the live footage, 2D infographics were added, in 3D space, to breathe life into the animation.
